As a result of the concussion Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suffered two weeks ago, she has been admitted to a New York hospital today for treatment of a resultant blood clot.
Two weeks ago, Clinton, age 65, was suffering from a stomach virus, which dehydrated her and caused her to pass out and strike her head. The ensuing concussion confined her to her home to be monitored by doctors. Because of this, she was not able to testify at the following week’s congressional hearings related to the Benghazi attack on the U.S. consulate. This sparked a rash of accusations by right-wing media (cough, Fox News, cough) surmising that Hillary was faking her injury to avoid her appearance before Congress.
